  Nelida Silva is a folkloric dancer and cultural event producer; originally from Ancash, Peru. Nelida has performed and choreographed with several prominent Peruvian dance troupes like “ Peru Canta y Baila,” “Centro Universitario Huancayo,” “Pallas de Corongo” and “ Altiplano” in Peru; and “Danzas y Estampas del Peru” in NYC, USA; performing throughout the USA and South America. She also has theatrical-dance solo pieces.  Her recent credits as a co-producer include the forthcoming documentary film “Soy Andina”, “La Casita”, for Lincoln Center Out-of –Doors, “Festival Andino” for Westchester Arts Council, served as part of the committee member of Pachamama, a Peruvian project of the Center for Traditional Music and Dance.
