Luis Iturre is a dance performer, teacher and administrator who grew up in Lima, dancing both the traditional dances from his mother’s region in the Peruvian Andes, and from his father’s Bolivian roots. In Lima Peru, he danced for “Ballet Folclorico Nacional del Peru”. He founded Ballet Folklorico Peru with Amparo and Nelida in 1991, and has continued to lead the organization ever since. Luis is also the leader and the one who had the initiative to found the School of Ballet Folklorico Peru, until these days he keeps involved in running the school of dance.
